How Much Does a Website Cost in Ireland? (2026 Prices)

MarketingAI3 min read

Ask five Irish web designers what a website costs and you'll get five different answers, from a few hundred euro to tens of thousands. That's not because anyone's hiding anything. "A website" can mean a single page or a full online shop.

Here's what you can realistically expect to pay in Ireland in 2026, what pushes the price up, and what to budget once the site is live.

Website cost in Ireland: the short answer

For most Irish small businesses, a professional website costs €1,500 to €5,000. Published Irish price guides land in roughly the same place:

Type of website Typical Irish price
One-page or basic site €500 to €1,500
Small business site (5 to 10 pages) €1,500 to €5,000
Online shop (Shopify or WooCommerce) from about €3,000, often €3,500 to €15,000
Large custom build €6,000 to €15,000 and up

These ranges come from Irish agencies' own published guides (for example Digitally Sound and Magnitu Digital). Prices are usually quoted ex-VAT, so check before you compare.

What our websites cost

We publish our prices, so here they are:

  • Landing page: €1,000. One high-converting page, built fast.
  • Business site: €2,000. A multi-page site built around your customers and your offers.
  • Custom: from €3,500. Booking, integrations or ecommerce.

All ex-VAT. We can come in under typical agency prices because we build with AI, which cuts days of manual work. Most sites are built and handed over within 14 days. See what's included on our web design page, or compare everything on our pricing page.

What makes a website cost more?

Two sites can look alike in a screenshot and cost very different amounts. The price goes up with:

  1. Number of pages. Every page needs designing, writing and testing.
  2. Custom design. A tailored design costs more than an adapted template.
  3. Features. Booking systems, payments, memberships and integrations with your other tools add the most cost.
  4. Copywriting and photos. If the designer writes your copy or sources images, that's extra work.
  5. SEO set-up. Page titles, headings, structured data and site speed, done properly from the start.

Freelancer vs agency: who should build your website?

Irish freelancers typically charge around €800 to €3,000 for a website, and agencies usually start at about €3,500. A good freelancer is great value for a simple site. An agency makes more sense when you need several skills at once: design, copy, SEO and integrations.

Whoever you pick, ask the same questions: Who owns the site and the domain? Can I edit it myself? What happens if you're no longer around?

The running costs nobody mentions

The build is a one-off. These costs keep coming:

  • Domain name: around €15 to €50 a year for a .ie or .com.
  • Hosting: from about €10 to €50 a month, depending on the site.
  • Maintenance and updates: optional, typically €50 to €150 a month if someone else looks after it.
  • Marketing: a website nobody finds doesn't earn its keep. Budget for SEO or Google Ads to bring visitors.

Is a cheap website worth it?

A €300 template can be fine to test an idea. The problems show up later: slow pages, no SEO foundations, and a site you can't change without paying someone. If the website is how customers find you, it's worth paying for one built to be found. Based in the capital? See our page on web design in Dublin.
